It is often possible to fund the cost of your representation through the Legal Aid Scheme

Legal Aid click here to find out if you are eligible for legal aid

Private terms & conditions click here for our standard terms and conditions

Fixed fees
If you are not eligible for legal aid we can provide fixed fee quotes in appropriate cases in the Magistrates Court or Crown Court.

Hourly rates
It is standard practice to charge clients for the time we spend working on their case. Our solicitors charge £180 + VAT per hour, although less qualified staff can assist with the work at lower hourly rates. We will always endeavour to provide you with a realistic estimate of the work required to be done on your behalf at the start of the case. We will provide you with regularly invoices so that you can keep track of your costs as they are accrued.

The final costs of a case always depend upon the work required but this is always influenced by outside factors such as how much evidence is served, how many meetings a client requires, how complicated the issues in the case become and whether the matter is contested to its conclusion.

Prosecution Costs
If you are found guilty the Court can order costs which are just & reasonable. If your finances are dire or there are other exceptional circumstances the court may consider that a costs order is oppressive and not make an order.
